It is recommended. We need the passcode in order to test your phone after the repair. If you do not wish to provide your passcode, certain phone functions won’t be tested such us camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and therefore can’t be verified by us to work.

No we do not need your SIM card but without it we cannot fully test your device.

Liquid Damage Service

Most frequent questions and answers

Do not turn on your device. It’s best if you bring it the next day or even the same day, as we will have a better chance of repairing it. Of course if you can’t make it to one of our locations, try to dry it out, then bring to one of our locations.

The easiest answer to that question is to simply call us at one of our locations so our technicians can diagnose the problem.

Water damage repairs generally take between 24 and 72 hours to complete depending on the level of damage. This estimate can vary, however, depending on the extent of the damage to the logic board and other components.

Glass & LCD Replacement Service

Most frequent questions and answers

Yes, any non responsiveness your phone is suffering due to a drop will be corrected with the Glass & Digitizer repair, as the Digitizer that is being replaced is the part responsible for all touch functionality.

If the actual screen of the phone is bleeding, white, or has any dead pixels then you’re going to need to select the LCD & Glass option as the LCD has suffered irreversible damage. Still not sure? Send a picture of the current condition of the phone while it is powered on to support@smartfix.linethemes and we will do our best to diagnose it.

Yes, the glass replacement service will replace the entire glass face, so the extent of the damage to the previous glass does not matter.

Vodafone Service

Most frequent questions and answers

This varies by phone, but typically includes (but is not limited to) physical or accidental damage, abuse, neglect, unauthorised modifications, moisture or liquid damage, or use with other accessories or products not authorised by Vodafone. Again, we strongly recommend you read the warranty terms of your particular phone, which can be found in the phone box.

The specific faults covered by the warranty are set by the phone manufacturer, and varies depending on the type of phone you have. Details are provided in the phone box – you should read the terms of your warranty to make sure you understand any limits.

If you have a problem with your Vodafone-branded handset, iPhone, BlackBerry or Vodafone mobile broadband device that you purchased from Vodafone, you can go to the Vodafone Service Centre to get help.

Out-of-warranty means:

– The date of purchase of your phone is more than the length of warranty period of your phone e.g. your iPhone was bought over 1 year ago
– The fault you are experiencing is not covered by warranty

Aside from your phone, you will need to provide proof of purchase e.g. sales receipt, so we can confirm that the phone was bought through an approved Vodafone channel, and that it is still within the warranty period. You will also need to provide contact details should the service centre need to contact you.

We do not backup your data on your device, so it is important that you back up all data before the replacement service takes place. You are responsible for your data.

We understand that certain faults only show up on your phone sometimes, and are not very easy to show. In this case, the service centre will take your phone from you and monitor over a period of 2 days. If we find the fault, and it is covered by warranty, we will replace the phone. If we do not find a fault, we will return your phone, free of charge.

  • iPhone: 1 year from date of purchase
  • Vodafone: 2 years from date of purchase
  • HTC Magic: 2 years from date of purchase
